Congrats to Georgia Guttadauro (CCHS '10) and Penn Quakers

May 19, 2013

This past Saturday, CCHS alumna Georgia Guttadauro, now first baseman for the Ivy League champion Penn Quakers, hit a clutch 2-out 2 run homerun against Arizona in the first round of the NCAA playoffs.  Our congratulations go out to Georgia and her team for an outstanding year and showing in the playoffs.  The hit gave the Quakers a 2-0 lead against the heavily favored Wildcats.  Unfortunately the lead did not hold, with Arizona tying the game with 2 outs in the 7th, then winning in extra innings.  Penn have since been knocked out, but qualifying for the tournament is quite an achievement!

Here is a link to the home run, and another to a video showing her ESPN Top 10 Plays defensive play and interview.
